My name is Benjamin McElrath, President of B&A Trailers. Our story began in 2003, when my father, Mike McElrath, founded B&A Trailers in Inman, South Carolina—continuing a trailer-manufacturing legacy that started with McElrath Trailers in 1985. I began working alongside him at age 12 and fully committed to the family business by 2004. When my father retired in 2016, I stepped into ownership and leadership, carrying forward our family’s legacy with over 60 years of combined industry experience.
Having worked in every area of the shop—from welding and painting to sweeping floors—I hold a deep respect for the hard work and attention to detail required to build products worth standing behind.
Beyond B&A Trailers, I’m honored to serve as a Commissioner with the North Spartanburg Fire District and bring with me leadership values shaped as a former Eagle Scout. I’m also blessed to be a devoted husband to my wife, Lauren, and a proud father of six. Faith, family, and fellowship are central to my life and leadership.
