My name is Benjamin McElrath, and I have the privilege of serving as President of B&A Trailers. Our story began in 2003 when my father, Mike McElrath, founded B&A Trailers in Inman, SC—continuing a legacy and heritage of trailer manufacturing he first established with McElrath Trailers in 1985. I began working alongside him in 1999 at just 12 years old, and by 2004, just before turning 18, I was fully committed to the family business. When my father retired in 2016, I stepped into ownership and leadership, carrying forward his legacy and bringing with me decades of hands-on experience. Together, our family holds over 60 years of expertise in the trailer industry.

Over the years, I’ve immersed myself in every facet of the business—from welding and painting to even sweeping floors. This experience has instilled in me a deep respect for the hard work required to build a business worth standing behind. 

Beyond B&A, I also have the honor of serving our community as a Commissioner at the North Spartanburg Fire District and bring with me the values of leadership and service learned as a former Eagle Scout.

Outside of work, I’m blessed to be a devoted husband to Lauren and a proud father of six: Judah, Luke, Daniel, Ella Kate, Gabriel, and Mary Grace. Faith and family are the anchors of my life. I’m active in my local church community, and one of my greatest joys is hosting a weekly cigar and guys’ night at my home—a reminder of the importance of friendship and fellowship amid the demands of leadership.
